Yelling Heads

Supposedly, the term “talking head” was coined in the 1960s or 1970s, and it referred to medium close-ups of people talking about stuff in a static position, like in news programs. There was even a band called “Talking Heads” (but they weren’t as dull as the real thing). But perhaps due to this inherent boringness, cable news decided to do a new spin on the talking head (cable news and spin, what are the chances of that happening?). And this is what I would call the “yelling head”. These yelling heads can be found mostly on cable news outlets where people argue about partisan stuff, like CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, and especially HLN. I don’t see this term yet even on Google, so maybe I’m the first to write about it, in which case, I should get a cookie or something (but with my luck, it would probably be the kind of cookie that tracks all your web browsing and steals all your passwords!). But wouldn’t “Yelling Heads” be a great name for a punk or a rap group? Then they could have all their songs bitching very aggressively about politics and stuff they hate.

Nope, sorry: This guy beat me to it! (Everyone else is writing about yelling “Heads Up!”):
