Mark Sanford has won the GOP primary for the open South
Carolina House of Representatives seat. Well, this isn’t sitting well with some
of his critics. So he told his critics who are still mad about him cheating on
his wife and going AWOL from his job as Governor for a week: “You’re just
jealous you don’t have a hot Argentine babe to cheat on your wife with!” And I don’t know how much his critics can really
argue with that reasoning, with the high rates of dilly-dallying we have in the political class: remember, like Henry Kissinger said: power is the ultimate aphrodisiac! (Just kidding: He said nothing of the sort. Well, actually he did say something of the sort, which was that nobody’s perfect. I hope he’ll remember that when he’s making political speeches to demonize others. {But I doubt it...})
