ET says he wants to “phone home”, so the kids he’s friends
with give him a smartphone to call with, but ET becomes so fascinated with the
smartphone and all the things it can do that he forgets all about phoning home
and just plays video games, surfs the web, watches movies via streaming, etc.
Then the kids try to remind ET that he was supposed to phone home, but ET says:
“In a minute; just let me try something first…”
Also, the issue of extreme roaming charges could be raised,
like with the ghostly phone calls and texts, with ET phoning home incurring
ridiculously hefty roaming charges with the existing cell phone plan (from the
competition).
