We see someone who does not have an unlimited cell phone plan watching a movie on their phone when the phone goes dark and then Sadako (Samara, in the crappy American version) crawls out of the phone with a new bill they have to pay, and the announcer says that with the new unlimited plan from (whatever cellular) you never have to worry about being haunted by overage charges.
(Yes, The Ring is on one of my movie channels tonight. And I had to watch it to write this, so I hope you appreciate it, after making me watch that again. Just kidding! I was watching it anyway; I just thought I would try to blame it on someone else.)
