There’s a sweet TV spot for recycling that shows a plastic bottle of shampoo getting recycled, and in the end, it comes back as a comb. There’s also a voiceover where it says it’s a superhero; this makes a bit less sense, but the part about having a dream is nice.
But whenever I see this ad, I can’t help but think of it coming back instead as one of those Rid lice egg pubic hair combs, and as it gets grabbed to comb out lice eggs, it says: “No! No! Not that! Oh, why didn’t I get thrown into a landfill?”
(My joke version ad could be called: “A Song of Lice and Fur.” And the beginning part would have some Kit Harrington-looking guy with long hair shampooing with lice shampoo, so when the bottle comes back as the pubic hair comb, that’s the realization of its worst fear.)
