Simulated Universe?

Hmm… Is the universe a simulation? Well, some seem to think so, and Neil deGrasse Tyson says it’s “very likely”.

But aren’t the scientists always the ones who laugh at the idea of God and stuff?

Now, I am not an especially religious person, and I am not trying to prove the existence of God here, but if the universe is a simulation, didn’t someone have to make it? And if so, then doesn’t that prove the idea of intelligent design?

And more than that, wouldn’t that make it easier for the simulator to create impossible things like the sun standing still without destroying the Earth, etc., as well as the Star of Bethlehem?

It seems to me the more astrophysicists try to understand the universe, the more it makes it clear there’s more evidence for God than they’d like to admit.
