Hmm, I wonder: Is this the first major product divorce/joint
custody TV ad? It’s the first one that I have noticed as such. If it is, then
it’s groundbreaking, because half of American families or more are split up by
divorce and joint custody for the kids, and it will likely speak to these
families more effectively.
Of course, I’m not sure how true to life it is, with the
biological father being welcomed in the house of his ex-wife, and the new
husband being nice to him, and no restraining orders or abusive alcoholic
behavior on display. And the new husband is helping the ex at work, instead of
fighting him in the parking lot after work? (Just kidding.)
Or maybe I’m misreading this, and this is a family of bigamists
where the wife has two husbands? (Hey, they get to do it too if men get to do
it!) Or maybe their older son is a lot older, he works at the same place as his
dad, and I am mistaking him for a new husband?
