In this proposed ad for Scotch Tape, we’re in the rich
relatives vying for an inheritance movie milieu (The Cat and the Canary, etc.), and as the family congregates
for the reading of the will, just before the will is read, the avaricious uncle
finds the real will, leaving an equal portion to everyone (except him), and so
he tears it up into small pieces, laughing. Then we cut to the reading of the
will, and everyone is there except for one nephew, and just as the evil uncle
is named the sole beneficiary, the heroic nephew bursts in, having been noted
as absent just earlier, and he holds the original will, all taped back together
with Scotch Tape, saving the day. Then the announcer says: “Problems?
Scotch Tape will help!”
