Using the old slogan (and the jingle of it): “Reach out and
touch someone” (sung as: “Reach out, reach out and touch someone…”), we see Amy
Irving, at the end of the movie Carrie,
walking up to the site of Carrie White’s burned-down house and putting flowers
down; and as she does this, a bloody hand reaches up through the ground and
grabs her. (It was the big shock ending of the movie. Oh, um: spoiler alert?)
