Look out criminals and infidels, it’s Martyrman, the
terrorist superhero! Whenever crime or deviations from religious orthodoxy
occur, Martyrman springs into action! He speeds to the scene, engages the
malefactor(s), and blows himself up! Yes, admittedly he kills all the innocent
civilians who might be there, but at least he stops the bad guys! (And is
anyone truly innocent? You know they
must have done something wrong at
some point…)
The first issue of Martyrman became an instant collector’s item,
because it was also the last and only issue of Martyrman Comics: you see, he
blew himself up, and now he’s dead, so no more issues were forthcoming.
(BTW: This is just a joke in bad taste. I doubt there is
such a superhero as Martyrman. He sure wouldn’t last long if there were…)
