TCM has been advertising a sing along screening of Grease lately, using in the ad the song: “Born to Hand Jive”. Well, this made me think of a joke on that song to use in an ad for hand lotion, called: “Porn for Hand Towels”. And in this ad, we’d see some young woman’s attractive hands rhythmically washing in a sumptuous sink with lovely soap, rhythmically drying her hands on an amazing hand towel, and then rhythmically putting on hand lotion (the kind the ad is for). Then we pan across the bathroom to see a row of hand towels with excited faces all watching these beautiful hands do this stuff, and as they were made to love hands, they stare, gawk, gape, drool, sigh, etc., at the hands. And while this is all going on, we hear the joke version of the chorus of the song from Grease singing (after a few bars of lead-in music):

Porn for hand towels, baby!
Oh, yeah!
Oh, yeah!
Oh yeah!
Porn for hand towels, oh yeah!
Then the announcer would say: “(Whatever brand of hand lotion) makes your hands so silky and smooth, your hand towels will fantasize about them!” (<Or perhaps they could say the towels won’t know whether to dry your hands or drool over them.)

Come to think of it, the song: “Born to Hand Jive” on its own, with a row of hand models doing that little hand dance they do in Grease would be a super fun ad for hand lotion right there without anything else. That would work really well.
