We see a garish portrait painting of an Antebellum Southern Belle, sort of a tacky velvet painting style image (but not on velvet; simply a gauche portrait painted with garish, unnatural colors and seemingly far too much makeup on the subject), and the announcer says: “Thick, discolored makeup making you feel like a ‘painted lady’?” Then the woman in the portrait comes to life and says: “I do declare, I feel a bit off color today!” And the announcer adds: “Tone it down, with the natural look of (whatever brand of makeup) today!”
(I hear lots of my female friends criticizing other women’s makeup for being overdone, so I thought this idea might make a fun ad for people who prefer a more natural makeup look.)
