Christopher Lee as Hammer’s Dracula has super bloodshot eyes
when he’s in violent vampire mode in Dracula:
Prince of Darkness, Dracula Has Risen
from the Grave, and Taste the Blood
of Dracula, but he has non-bloodshot eyes at the beginning of Horror of Dracula, when he’s acting like
a friendly host to Jonathan Harker.
So I thought it would make for a fun Halloween ad for Visine
to take clips from these movies showing Dracula hissing at potential victims
while he has super bloodshot eyes, and the announcer says: “Bloodshot eyes hurt
and can make you feel mean.” Then we see Dracula walking up to Jonathan Harker
(from Horror of Dracula) and being
very cordial, with non-bloodshot eyes, saying: “I am Dracula, and I welcome you
to my house,” and the announcer says: “Visine helps relieve red, irritated
eyes, making you your pleasant self again.”
