In a nod to movies like McQ and Magnum Force, a hero cop goes after suspected dirty cops. But when he finally catches up to them and accuses them of being dirty, they pull out bars of soap (the brand being advertised) and say: “We’re not dirty, we’re clean!” Then the hero cop goes to report to the chief, and the chief asks if he nailed the dirty cops, and the hero cop says: “I looked into it, and they’re clean. We heard wrong.” Then the announcer chimes in, saying: “(Whatever brand of) soap: clean your reputation!” (Or: “{Whatever brand of} soap: you’re clean!”)
(Or, in a joke version of the ad, the dirty cops could be guilty, and the hero cop puts a bar of soap in a sock to beat them up with before arresting them. Then, when his boss asks if he dealt with the dirty cops, the hero would say: “They’re all washed up!”)
