Soap Film Noir Ad (Proposed)
In a film noir movie setting (1940s, B&W), three tough guys in suits burst in through the door of an apartment where an illegal card game is being played, and one of the tough guys grabs one of the guys in the room by the coat lapels, saying: “Why you dirty…” Then the guy being grabbed reaches into his pocket, pulls out a bar of soap (the brand being advertised), and holds it up to the tough guy’s face. The tough guy looks at the bar of soap and says: “Oh, you’re not dirty after all. My apologies.” And the tough guy helps smooth out the wrinkled lapels, he says to his sidekicks: “This guy’s clean.” and he and his tough guy cohorts depart without further incident. Then the announcer says: “(Whatever brand of) soap: clean your reputation!” (Or: “{Whatever brand of} soap: you’re clean!”)
