In this ad for AT&T, we see a state trooper pull over a couple of nerds in an SUV. And I don’t know about you, but I was really hoping the state trooper would extort money from them in an example of civil forfeiture. And the message of the ad would be that you save so much money with AT&T, you have plenty of money left over for when the cops pull you over, shake you down, and confiscate all your cash. Plus, the network is so reliable, you can access your lawyer from even the most remote location to bail you out of jail if you get arrested for objecting to the civil forfeiture.
