In this joke/proposed ad for Gas-X, we see (fictional)
scenes from the silly game show The Gong Show, with
contestants competing with odd abilities/“talents”. For the first contestant, a woman says
her talent is burping a Shakespeare soliloquy, and she begins burping a Shakespeare soliloquy (one from Hamlet), and the judges quickly run over and bang the gong to stop her.
Then, for the second contestant, a man says for his performance he will fart a
message in Morse code, and he starts farting a coded message, and the panel of judges quickly runs to hit the gong to stop him as well. Then the announcer chimes in, saying: “Gas
can be annoying and embarrassing. Stop it before it starts, with Gas-X.”
