Geico A Million Bucks Ad

In this silly spot for Geico, a genie appears to a man, and he wishes for a million bucks, whereupon lots of deer appear, densely packed in his house and throughout his yard (and presumably his neighborhood). This is cute, if annoying, but the idea is great for car insurance, because lots of cars hit deer and get totaled. And so if there are a million bucks wandering around in the town, you’re really going to need car insurance.

I instantly thought of the deer representing car accidents when I saw this ad, but to make sure everyone else does too, they should end the ad with the sound of squealing rubber from a car slamming on its brakes, and then the sound of a car hitting something in the background. Then we would all think about why we need car insurance, and not just about how much money we will allegedly save for switching to Geico.

Here’s a million bucks for you:

BTW: After the Wishmaster movies, I would have thought everyone would know just how literal genies can be.
