Polly Purebred is menaced by Simon Bar Sinister, so Underdog determines to save her. So Shoeshine Boy, Underdog’s secret identity, runs to the nearest telephone booth, and therein opens a pill box to reveal his Underdog pill (trade name Ritalin). And now, imbued with super powers, he goes forth to save Polly Purebred and save the day!
And kids too can have the powers of Underdog by taking the Underdog pill for kids: Ritalin!
(Ritalin is prescribed to lots of kids, so why not aim their ads at kids? And kids love cartoons, to why not use the pill-popping superhero Underdog as their product’s mascot?*)
* (This is only a joke, by the way! I think it’s unconscionable to give dangerous addictive amphetamines to children. But lots of doctors and parents do.)
