It’s time for the military to develop hover boots. If we had
hover boots, the president could say we won’t have boots on the ground in a
conflict, but he could still send all the troops he liked. That way, our
leaders could tell the truth about their military intentions for a change, even
if only by accident, and the phrase: “no boots on the ground” could mean either
no ground troops or an enormous invasion. So not only would they be telling the
truth, they’d also keep our enemies guessing about what to expect. Yes, our soldiers need hover boots.
