Copacabana Beach Water Song

I read another news story today about how full of viruses and excrement the water is at the Copacabana beach, which is where the open water Olympic swimming events will be held. Basically it’s like a poop soup of infectious bacteria and viruses there. So I wrote a little song about it so celebrate the wonderful conditions for the swimmers at the Rio 2016 Olympics.

(Based on: “Copacabana” by Barry Manilow)

They were all swimmers,
In the Olympics,
The water there made them all fell sick,

The doctors told them,
To keep their mouths shut,
But it did not keep viruses out,

Now it’s a great time,
But not for those guys,

Resistant virus in their veins,
The illness driving them insane,

They’re in the ICU,
They all know they’re so screwed,

They lost their health,
And they lost their events,
Now they’ve lost their minds,

At the Copa, Copacabana,
The water there’s thick with bacteria,
At the Copa, Copacaba-a-ana,
Catching diseases is always so easy at the Copa…!
(Fecal material is so magisterial at the Copa…!)

Don’t fall in scum…
Don’t fall in scum…
