Oliver Stone, the great American director of films like Seizure and The Hand (Just kidding: he also made Platoon, Wall Street, JFK, etc.), is on record making fun of
the wall of awards and decorations on the jackets of military higher-ups in the
American Armed Forces, calling them: “fruit salad” on their jackets. (I think
it was in his TV show: The Untold History
of the United States.)
So I thought it would be fun for a brand of fruit salad to
make an ad with Oliver Stone as their spokesman, and as film of military guys
giving testimony plays, he makes fun of the “fruit salad” on their jackets.
Then we cut to Oliver Stone, and he holds up the brand of fruit salad, takes a
bite, and says: “This is the only fruit salad I’d want on my jacket!” And then he’d throw some on his jacket.
In its silliness, I think this could win fans and haters of
Stone’s alike.
(BTW: He did also make: Seizure and: The Hand earlier in his career.)
