Why Most Car Recalls Are Good for Buyers

The above was the reworded Yahoo! headline promoting an article with the headline: “How recalls benefit car buyers”. Why did they reword the headline to make it longer and change the meaning? That makes no sense.

But the article’s actual headline is pretty funny anyway, isn’t it? Yes, crappy cars with dangerous problems needing recalls are great! Everyone who doesn’t get one is missing out. In fact, the more potentially deadly stuff that needs to be replaced, the more chance for recalls; and the more recalls, the better!

It’s nice to see that journalists are all about being apologists for the government and corporations, rather than actually informing the public of unbiased information. It makes me sleep better at night, as I dream about corruption and moral bankruptcy.

Remember: “General Motors Is Alive!” Because they were saved by the government, you’re not allowed to criticize or even think badly of GM, and the article here is just helpfully reminding us of that. (Thanks, guys!)
