OSCE Observers Not Admitted to Crimea

OSCE observers were rejected admission into the Crimea region of Ukraine by some nice young men dressed up in festive green costumes and wearing masks. (That’s because they’re superheroes for the green movement.) These costumed revelers said that alcohol is being served in Crimea, and that the OSCE observers were not old enough, or forgot to bring their IDs. Since it would be irresponsible to let minors into places where adults are drinking, the OSCE personnel were not admitted, possibly saving them from a bad hangover, a bar fight, or perhaps getting arrested for drunk driving without a valid driver’s license.

Plus, they didn’t bring masks, and this is a costume party! Nobody gets admitted to the Crimean masquerade ball without wearing a mask!

(This is about as legitimate of an explanation as Russia is giving, so I think they might as well just say stuff like this when asked to justify their actions. Then at least it would be kind of entertaining.)
