Some friends go to a fast food restaurant and order some food to go. When they get wherever they’re going and sit down to eat, one of them (who ordered a chicken sandwich) looks at the chicken in their sandwich and says: “Hmm, that’s some paltry poultry.” Everyone laughs, and the person looks demoralized as they take a bite of their sandwich. Later, the same group goes to Chick-fil-A, orders food, and sits down to eat. The same person from before looks at the chicken in their chicken sandwich and says: “There, now that’s more like it!”
“Paltry poultry” could be the “Where’s the beef?” of the 2010s!
(This concept and “Paltry Poultry” slogan would also work well for Foster Farms, or Purdue chicken, with someone in a supermarket picking up chickens in the refrigerated section and saying to someone they’re with: “Hmm. That’s some paltry poultry.” And then they pick up the brand the ad is for {Foster Farms, Purdue, or whatever brand} and say: “There, now that’s more like it!”)
(Obviously this would also work well as a campaign for KFC.)
