In this spot for the Mini 5-door, a bulldog refuses to get
in the back door, and then the ad says it’s new to them too that Mini has a car
with 5 doors. But what this ad really says to me is that there isn’t even
enough legroom in the backseat of a Mini for a short-legged dog.
The commercial is undeniably cute, but there is that issue
that suggests itself with this approach, and I’m surprised they didn’t notice
it. (Or maybe they simply hoped we
wouldn’t notice it. The client didn’t seem to notice.)
