Following the terrorist attack on the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, CNN has come out as champions of free speech.* That’s nice, and I hope this signals a change of direction for them, because over the past few years, CNN has done everything they could to use their bully (and I do mean bully) pulpit to attack free speech continuously as the purveyors of a particularly pernicious and intolerant strain of political correctness and its attempt to censor (Constitutionally-protected free) speech deemed “controversial” (“controversial” to them meaning they don’t agree with it and don’t want to hear it, and don’t want anyone to be allowed to say it: or else!), and to severely punish those who say such things as a warning to others. (<You know, try to get them fired from their jobs, make them into social pariahs, etc., just because they said something CNN didn’t like.)
So it’s nice to see CNN actually take a position in favor of freedom of speech for a change. Let’s hope they see how important is actually is, now: for everyone, and not just for themselves and those who share their views.
Remember: The right to free speech is to protect speech that most people would not want to hear, not just to protect speech everyone agrees with.
(And wouldn’t it be nice if our news agencies would just stick to telling us the news in an unbiased manner, rather than trying to indoctrinate everyone with propaganda and social engineering?)

Well, if they’re going to champion free speech for a while, that’s great. (I wish they’d champion free speech always and without exception, but fat chance of that.) But regardless of this nice change of direction, at least they’re still up to their old destructive tricks of helping terrorists, with multiple contributors making great efforts to explain all the mistakes the terrorists made, and helpfully instructing future terrorists on how to avoid such mistakes, and how to successfully commit such barbarous, murderous acts without getting caught, as well as always shining a helpful light on how unsuccessful terrorist plots are foiled, just so the successful tactics used to prevent terrorism will not work as effectively, if at all, again. What irresponsible jerks they so often (and so unnecessarily) are. CNN: truly the helpful experts disseminating their expertise to those who would kill innocents. Thanks, guys! Terrorists couldn’t do things like this as successfully without you.
(Maybe terrorists are the only demographic left watching CNN, so CNN feels they must cater to that crowd lest there be no remaining viewers? It’s the only excuse I can come up with for this special CNN service of providing tactical expertise to aid terrorists, such as recommending the actions to make the most waves propaganda-wise {for example, predicting terrorists on the run will try to kill as many people as possible and go out “in a blaze of glory”. [<Their words, as if to encourage this and proclaim such actions glorious. And this from the politically correct bullies who tell us the words we use matter and to watch what we say.]}, pointing out the most vulnerable targets that would do the most damage in the United States, pointing out their weaknesses, etc. {<They do that one a lot. It is actually treasonable, the journalistic equivalent to screaming: “Fire!” in a crowded theater [that is, wrong and criminally negligent, if not overtly displaying actual criminal intent], but they don’t get called on it.})
* Actually, it appears I was a bit too quick off the mark in crediting CNN with championing free speech: this evening they are doing whatever they can to get back to their championing of political correctness and censorship, or so it seems. (*Sigh!*)
