Okay, so this is dumb, but I can’t help it, so nyah.
I was watching Laurence Olivier’s Hamlet on TCM the other night, and when someone said: “But soft…” I thought of Nerf balls for some reason.
So how about a Nerf ad where someone says: “But soft: a touchdown cometh!” And they throw the ball to their child and they catch it for a touchdown.
No, too heady? Okay, fine. This is why Shakespeare fans don’t play football. (Oh, and also they tend to be skinny nerds who get hurt easily.)
