On some History Channel show about ancient Mesoamerican pyramids, the narrator (Mr. Spock) says that one pyramid had a history of “terrifying rivers of blood”. This sounds like the perfect vacation destination for vampires, doesn’t it? They could take rafting or canoeing trips down the rivers, go swimming or water skiing (blood skiing?), and when they get hungry, they can just drink the blood right out of the river! It’s so perfect for vampires, they might just want to move there! I mean, sure, there might be inbred werewolves who try to rape them like in Deliverance, but they could always bring silver bullets and stuff. I’m telling you, terrifying rivers of blood are just too inviting for vampires to resist!
