Here we have an ad where the idea of someone’s car being their “baby” is literalized, with a giant baby replacing a man’s car everywhere he goes: parked in the street in front of his house, supermarket parking lot, auto service center, etc. And this is cute, but it makes me think of other things, like isn’t riding around on his baby considered a violation of child labor laws and, additionally, child endangerment? And looking at the size of that baby makes it clear why this guy is single: his wife probably died in childbirth (!). And I guess he must have used her life insurance to buy the Mustang we see near the end of the spot.
