Yahoo! Empty Email Trash Message
The new upgrade to Yahoo! email has a nice little message that displays whenever you empty your trash folder, which says: "Nice Job, it sure looks tidy in here! There are no emails in your trash folder." And I'm sure that this congratulatory compliment will make everyone feel very confident and self-satisfied. Unless they accidentally put a message they needed into the trash and then habitually emptied it, realizing too late that they deleted something they desperately need. (The new animated ads in the Yahoo! email mailbox occasionally screw up what you're trying to do when they're loading, so this can happen more easily than you might think.) And then I wonder if that "Nice Job" message will have the same feel-good appeal, or will it begin to sound a bit sarcastic and schadenfreude-y?
