I don’t know why, but I
guess all the old news anchors and reporters seem to think they’re cool when they
call marijuana “weed”. CNN even did a show about the medical benefits of
marijuana and the push for legalization (with Dr. Sanjay Gupta), and called the show “Weed”. But to me, when they do this, they
sound like someone’s mother or father trying to talk teen-speak to their kids:
they just sound ridiculously lame. But hey, maybe this is how they’re trying to
turn kids against smoking marijuana: by making it seem like adults think it’s
cool?
