Hey, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Hindenburg
disaster, why not create a comic book character called Zeppelin Man? He could
be a superhero or a super villain (I suppose a super villain would be more
appropriate, since the Hindenburg was a Nazi airship, after all), who would fly
around with an enormous hydrogen-filled zeppelin on his back. And his super
power would be that he is impervious to flames, and he flies his
hydrogen-filled zeppelin flying backpack into his enemies, exploding on them
and burning them all up in a huge ball-of-fire explosion. Of course, he would
probably move kind of slowly, so he would be really easy to escape from. Oh,
and since his zeppelin flying backpack would be so flammable, it would be
really easy to make it explode up in the sky with a flaming arrow or something,
so he would be very easy to defeat, as well. (Is he impervious to death by
falling from great heights too? I guess he would have to be, or else he wouldn’t
live very long, would he?)
Maybe The Avengers
could fight this guy next! Hollywood just loves to put huge fireball explosions in their movies, so
this guy would be a perfect fit for action movies! (Although come to think of
it, his nemesis could more logically be the Human Torch from the Fantastic
Four. Maybe he could be the villain in
their next movie? But I guess it would only take a few seconds for them to beat him, so maybe they would need another super villain for them to fight in order to pad the movie out to feature length, like in Spider-Man 3. And that would give Zeppelin Man time to go build better and better zeppelin designs to fight them with!)
