Wow, these squares really are crazy! They’re cannibalizing each other! Oh my God! Aaaaa! (Their tag line is apparently: “Dig Those Crazy Squares” {!!}.)
This spot shows a piece of Cinnamon Toast Crunch fishing with his really long tongue, catching another piece of Cinnamon Toast Crunch (when it bites into his tongue {!}), and then yanking his catch up into his mouth and crunching it to death and eating it. Oh, the, um, cereality? (As well as surreality!)
I guess he’s a cannibal cereal killer! But America loves serial killers (apparently. I think it’s yucky glorifying these loony jerks, but I don’t get to make the rules.), and so they’re bound to really love cereal killers (especially cannibal ones!), so maybe they’re aiming at the wrong demographic with these ads! Kids don’t even know about serial killers yet, and so to use this “cereal killer” ad more effectively, they should aim it at young adults! After all, they’re the primary horror movie market demographic, so it’s perfect for this campaign! And they’re the ones who buy the cereal anyway, so aim it at them! They’re bound to love it! (“Bound” because they’re into bondage too, I think. Those crazy squares!)
