I was just reminded in the immediate pre-game coverage of the Super Bowl that only one team gets Super Bowl rings: the winner. I used to think everyone from both teams got Super Bowl rings for being in the Super Bowl. And I think they all should get them, even if the losing team gets a booby-prize ring. It could just be a little gold pinky ring that looks wimpy (with a pink football-shaped diamond on it), to rub it in that they lost; or maybe they could be some cheap gold-electroplated brass with zircons and rhinestones, with a deflated football on it, and with little frowny-faces on the sides. Then at least everyone would get to say they had a Super Bowl ring if they played in a Super Bowl. And that seems only fair to me.
