If they’re going to release a movie based on Battleship, and they are, then I certainly hope they’re planning on making a movie version of its successor game: Sub Search! And to do this correctly, they really ought to release Battleship in regular flat 2D, and then they could play up the fact that Sub Search will be in 3D! (The game Sub Search was like Battleship with depth added, so it was essentially a 3D game, whereas Battleship was a 2D game.)
So then, to promote the movie Sub Search (the sequel to Battleship), they could say as a slogan: “Sub Search, in 3D: A whole new dimension in excitement!” (Whereas in the board game Sub Search, adding the third dimension simply added a whole new dimension of boredom!)
