I was watching 60 Minutes, and Anderson Cooper was doing a very good segment interviewing the singer Adele. At the end of the segment, they had an announcement saying something close to: “To see the funniest moments of Anderson’s visit with Adele, go to 60Minutes.com, sponsored by Viagra!” And I was like: “Sponsored by Viagra? That’s pretty rude! Unless the funniest moments are Anderson Cooper not being able to get it up, isn’t there some better, more appropriate sponsor for this thing?” But based on the interview, it actually seems like the kind of thing that might make Adele laugh, this choice of sponsors. I hope so. But is it really the case that 60 Minutes only attracts old men to watch it, such that they've only got Viagra to sponsor this web clips thing? Oh, but then again, they’re almost all old men who are on 60 Minutes, so I guess that figures.
