Benjamin Franklin once said: "In this world, nothing can be said to be certain except death and taxes." (I always heard it was: "There is nothing certain in life but death and taxes.")
But this quote is clearly wrong. There are three certainties: death, taxes, and advertising.
(Odd that a newspaperman would leave out the fact that advertising is also a certainty. Maybe if he had put more emphasis upon it, the newspaper industry would still be big.)
