I haven’t had a chance to see the new Star Wars movie yet, but I read the plot on Wikipedia, and it sure seems very reminiscent of the original Star Wars movie from 1977. And seeing as how this is the case, and this new Star Wars movie is so close to Christmas, I think they should bring back the Christmas fun from the original movie and tell everyone the toys aren’t ready yet, and then just give every parent a toy IOU to place under the Christmas tree, just to rub it in that their kids will have to wait for the toys.
Because isn’t that what childhood is all about: having to wait for everything you want in life? This will simply reinforce an important life lesson: sometimes you have to wait for things until you don’t want them anymore. Plus, it will make the kids of today feel like they are a part of the original Star Wars movie experience. And who could ask for more than that?
