Harley Davidson “Day of the Triffids” Ad?

Harley Davidson motorcycles are known for their loud sound, and this is by design: it helps other drivers know when you’re there, so they won’t run you over. But there’s a silly horror movie from 1963 called: Day of the Triffids, immortalized in the lyrics to the Rock Horror Picture Show’s song: “Science Fiction/Double Feature”* (with the lyrics: “And I really got hot, when I saw Janette Scott, fight a triffid that spits poison and kills.”), that might make a fun ad for this idea.

So this ad could show a Harley Davidson rider on his loud bike alerting other drivers to his presence, avoiding accidents, and the announcer says: “A loud motorcycle can save your life everyday.” Then we see the biker driving alone down a scenic route, and a bunch of triffids attack, and the announcer says: “Unless it’s The Day of the Triffids…” (Triffids are attracted by sound in the movie.) Then the announcer says: “That’s when Harley Davidson helmets and leathers will keep you safe.” And then we see the biker kicking over triffids and driving off into the sunset.

This is The Day of the Triffids:

(I know: it’s an old movie. I’m just having fun here.)

* Here’s the song, as if you don’t know it already (Great song!):
