A sixty-something couple is getting ready to go to a party,
but the man is frustrated because he cannot get his dentures to stay on
properly. His wife says: “Get a grip!” The man reacts angrily to this
apparently snide comment, saying: “Get a grip?” But when he turns to face his wife,
he sees she’s holding a tube of Polygrip, and she says: “Get a grip, with
Polygrip!” And then, after the spiel delivered by the spokesperson, we flash
forward to the party, and the man is now eating hors d’oeuvres that look like
they might be hard on dentures, but his are doing fine. His wife asks how he’s
feeling, and he says: “Fine” and flashes her a nice toothy smile.
And “Get a grip, with Polygrip” could be the slogan for the
ad campaign.
