A Matter of Some Delicacy
The great classic movie Kind Hearts and Coronets was on TCM last night, and in the movie we hear the phrase: "a matter of some delicacy" a number of times. And hearing it again, it made me think what a cute name this phrase might make for some high-end food shop specializing in delicacies from around the world, twisting the meaning of the phrase to refer to foodstuffs, as opposed to scandal. And seeing as how we're living in such a scandal-obsessed culture nowadays, it might draw in a large, curious crowd. And when you consider the fact that we tend to think of delicious foods in terms of vice (as in: "sinfully delicious"), this name for a store specializing in food delicacies might be especially appropriate.
