Broker/Trader

It amuses me that someone who does financial investment stuff would be called a "broker", because doesn't that make it sound like someone who will make you broke (or more broke)? And the term "trader" sounds so much like "traitor", doesn't it? How about something that sounds positive, and like they'll make you money? Maybe a "richer", or a "windfall mill"?
