In this new commercial for Kool Aid, we hear the Kool Aid pitcher mascot whining about how his life sucks just like everyone else's. (Yeah, cry me a river, imaginary corporate brand mascot! At least you still have a job and a home in this economy.) He says his life is ordinary, and he puts his pants on one leg at a time like everyone else. Except that he doesn't wear any pants. (He claims he wears his pants in his head, which means they're imaginary: like the emperor's new clothes.) Which really calls into question his honesty about everything else he every says, doesn't it? But it also begs the question: what's a guy who doesn't wear pants doing hanging around with children all the time anyway? And hey, doesn't this commercial start with him in the shower, and he gets out of the shower all naked and walks all over the house? You know, I think this guy's a pervert flasher type! Don't be distracted by his poor-pity-me song & dance at the beginning, either! Maybe we need to keep this guy away from kids, before they all start following his example and walking around the house with no clothes on too. (For those of you with young children who already do that, this guy is probably the one who is to blame!)
Here's the pantsless piece:
