There’s a big news story today on TV and the internet about an Australian woman who has survived a snapped bungee cord’s attempt to murder her. She fell into crocodile-infested torrents of raging river waters, but survived relatively unscathed. But should this really be the focus of the story?
When I first heard this story, I immediately thought: Oh, I see what’s going on here; they’re trying to feed tourists to the crocodiles so the locals won’t get eaten as much for awhile! So the headline to this story ought to read: “Attempt to feed tourists to river crocs foiled!”
