This evening, Chris Wallace came on the news talking to Shepard Smith about the Republican campaigns, and when talking about the issue of Newt Gingrich’s attacks on Mitt Romney in New Hampshire, and whether it’s bad for the Republican party, Wallace said that whatever happened in Iowa with Romney’s Super PACs really made Newt Gingrich angry, and he’s taking it personally. So then Wallace said that because Gingrich is talking it personally, he’s going after Mitt Romney with a hockey mask and a chainsaw. And then I said: “Hey! What the hell are you talking about? That’s mixing your slasher metaphors! The hockey mask goes with a machete (like in Friday the 13th), and the chainsaw goes with a human skin mask (as in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre) or a pig mask (if you’re referencing Motel Hell)! Get your facts straight!”
What kind of hack reporting is this when they can’t even get their slasher accessories disseminated accurately? Talk about incompetent journalism! And then they expect us to trust them with stuff like politics when they can’t even get their horror movie references right? I mean, really! If they’re confusing Jason with Leatherface, how do we know they’re not screwing up all their other facts too? Boy, the news sure isn’t as reliable as I thought!
Seriously, Chris, you’re going to have to hit the NetFlix slasher section and study hard if you want anyone to take you seriously as a journalist anymore!
