There are a few of these ads out now for AT&T 4G phones where two people are sitting with their 4G phones, and they act like insufferable know-it-all jerks to whoever tries to interact with them, saying stuff like: “That’s so 40 seconds ago!” (etc.) whenever anyone tries to tell them anything. If having AT&T 4G phones really makes people act like this, then AT&T is going to be responsible for more assaults and murders than any product in human history! These commercials are unbearably obnoxious, and they certainly make me never want to get an AT&T 4G phone, nor ever talk to anyone who has one either.
In the ad with the office gossip girls, these ladies manage to be more repulsive than the sexual harassment guy! Are they aware of this? The people who are holding these phones are absolutely the nadir of humanity! And we’re supposed to identify with them? I hope most people don’t, or else, they’re probably like that themselves; and that means society is drowning in a sea of vapidity and smug douchebaggery! (Yikes!)
Well, at least with these new phones to keep them busy, maybe none of us will have to interface with people like this ever again! (Here’s hoping!)
So maybe AT&T is simply telling us that they’re doing us all a favor by keeping these jerks busy from now on with these stupid time-wasting tech gadgets, so we’ll be able to avoid them all from now on. (In that case, then, wow: 4G really is amazing!!)
Oh, did I mention that I absolutely loathe these ads, and the main characters in them?
Here are some examples of this campaign travesty:
