Hollywood is remaking Ben
Hur, a film to be released soon. And when it is released, I thought maybe a
Christian company like Chick-fil-A should make tie-in ads, but altered to be
more chicken oriented, like maybe Hen Hur.
So Hen Hur would fight a childhood friend, Chicken Masala,
who has sold out to Chicken Caesar, and who has sent Hen Hur’s family to an
unethical factory farm for meat processing, where the chickens are forced to
live in tiny cages and never get to even move around, or something like that.
And so Hen Hur defeats Chicken Masala, and that’s how we know we’re getting the
heroic, top quality fresh chicken, like you’ll find at Chick-fil-A. (< I
guess: I’ve never been to a Chick-fil-A. This is just a fun intellectual exercise for
me to play around with advertising stuff like this.)
Yes, sadly, like with the Burger King ad chicken who
mastered Kung Fu, Hen Hur was also made into a sandwich, even after
accomplishing so much in life. But hey, at least it was a “free range” chicken.
And in fact, maybe that could be the conceit of the ad: Chick-fil-A’s chickens
are free to roam around, and this is what one of them gets up to adventure-wise
due to the free range freedom.
(BTW: I don’t know if Chcik-fil-A uses free range chickens,
but they ought to. After all, how else can Hen Hur get revenge and free its
family from those evil factory farm cages if there is no free range liberty?)
