We’d see a clip of the assassin indoctrination film from the
movie The Parallax View, which shows
many images, but only one of any kind of liquor, and it’s Chivas Regal,
associated with the word: “Happiness”. Then the slogan would be: “Chivas Regal:
The only brand of liquor associated with happiness in The Parallax View!” (Hey, could a Warren Beatty movie be wrong
about what the happiest liquor is? {I doubt it!})
This is the scene I’m referring to (watch for the Chivas
Regal “happiness” shot!):
(BTW: This little brainwashing/indoctrination film is the
best part of the movie, especially since this field of psychological mind
control was very big at the time. You know, like what colors make you hungry,
and crap like that. Ridiculous! But still, it was a very hot field at the time,
even if it was mostly bullsh!t.)
You know, upon further reflection, it seems to me the slogan
could also be: “You don’t need Prozac, you just need Chivas Regal!” Or else,
maybe: “Chivas Regal: Endorsed by the Assassination Corporation!” Or even: “Chivas
Regal: It’s Killer Whisky!”
