In watching the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl last night, I found out that Tostitos is owned by Frito-Lay. So Frito-Lay owns Fritos (my favorite childhood snack!), Doritos (my favorite high school snack!), Tostitos, Cheetos,
and Sun Chips, all made from corn (Sun Chips is made from whole grain, including corn). So is Frito-Lay a corn chip cartel? And as such, do they intimidate competitors by duct taping them into folding metal chairs and crunching Doritos in their faces? (There was on old Doritos ad campaign where people would crunch Doritos in each other's faces as an assault.
*) And if their adversaries still persist in trying to sell competing corn chips, do they then threaten to drown them in dip or lower them into the chip fryer? I'm just wondering how a corn chip cartel might operate.
